Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the KinTrek mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

KinTrek is a family travel planning application that allows users to collaboratively organize trips, manage travel documents, track flights, hotels, car rentals, activities, and share itineraries with family members. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

3. Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Family Groups and Sharing

KinTrek allows you to create and join family groups. When you share trip information within a family group, all members of that group can view and, depending on their role, edit the shared content. You are responsible for the information you share and for managing who has access to your family group. You should only invite people you trust.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Service, including travel documents, photos, and trip details ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant KinTrek a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your family group members.

You represent that you have the right to upload any User Content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

6. Document Processing

KinTrek may use automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to extract information from uploaded travel documents (such as confirmation emails and PDFs). This processing is performed solely to help you organize your trip details. We do not guarantee the accuracy of automatically extracted information, and you should verify all details before relying on them.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service
  • Use the Service to store content unrelated to travel planning

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services, including Google Sign-In, map applications, flight data providers, and weather services. Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. KinTrek is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. KinTrek does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Flight statuses, weather data, and other third-party information are provided for convenience only and may not be accurate or up to date.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KinTrek and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, travel disruptions, missed reservations, or any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other means. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
